    Jelasnica Gorge is a magnificent place where you will experience an adventure. It's already on the 15th kilometer from the Nis city center and just 3km from Niska Banja - Spa. It is Special Nature Reserve categorized as I type of protected area. The gorge represents a unique biodiversity system and is one of the most prominent gorges in the Balkans – due to its breathtaking landscape, Geo-morphological characteristics, natural values, well-preserved ecosystem, and exclusive flora and fauna. The gorge supports very rare sub-endemic plants such as Ramonda Nathaliae & Ramonda Serbica.

    Here you can see amazing stone formations, such as dolomite columns resembling teeth, kneeling figures, and windows. There is also a charming waterfall here, along with the remains of a Roman fortification. Climbing lovers should try themselves in free-climbing on the natural rocks, which Jelasnica Gorge is known for.

    The minimum number of applied persons for this tour is 7 and the maximum of 20. Less than 7 applied persons are considered as the private tour, though special price occurs in.  

    For 7 - 20 pax the price is 50€ per person. 

    If there are not sufficient numbers of travelers or uninspected bad weather conditions, the organizer keeps the right to change or cancel the trip at least 3 days before the beginning date.     Day 1

    Departure

    Every Wednesday if a minimum of 7 persons applies.

    Please be ready by 8.30 AM at your Hotel for a prompt departure at 9:00 AM. 

    30 min. drive to Jelasnica Gorge, 2km long and only 30m wide. The gorge is located at the foot of "Suva Planina" - Suva Mountain and is on the way to its highest and one of the most beautiful peaks in Serbia - Trem 1810m. 
    This adventure tour around Jelasnica Gorge starts at a place known for picnics. It's by the river and a cave from which prehistoric artifacts were excavated. During the hottest summer days, here is a place where you can chill out. On the walk, you'll see creations in stone, such as interesting rocks, dolomite columns, resembling teeth, kneeling figures, and windows. 

    You will have a nice walk on the road that led to the East during the Roman period and you'll see the remains of the small fortress: Velika & Mala Crkvica (Big & Small Church) and Gradac. There are several tombs excavated at the place called Carevo Korito (Emperor's Through), belonging to a small necropolis situated next to the fortifications.

    In the end a little bit of adrenaline for everybody! You'll get a chance at the abseiling technique, rock facing. This is the simplest form of abseiling. One abseiler uses a rope fixed at the top of a drop to descend under their own control to the bottom. Abseilers control their speed by using a belay device attached to a harness around their waist. Don't worry, all the time you'll be under the control of a professional coach.
